Medicare Supplement Insurance Plans or Medigap policies are a very common way to help pay the bills for those fees and costs that Original Medicare (Parts A & B) does NOT cover.  Medicare Supplements only cover Medicare approved costs that are not covered by Medicare (deductibles, co-pays, coinsurance, etc).  There are 10 different options for most people and I can help you find the one that fits your needs best. Remember, if you do decide to choose a Medicare Supplement Insurance plan please don't forget the Medicare Prescription Drug Plan.

Medicare Advantage Plans are comprehensive plans that include all of the same benefits of Medicare A & B.  These are also known as Medicare Part C and are administered by private insurance companies.  These plans can also include prescription drug plans as well as added benefits such as Vision, Dental, Hearing, Chiropractic, Acupuncture, Fitness programs, NurseLines and more, which vary by plan.

Just as Original Medicare (Parts A & B) do not cover all fees, it also does not cover precription drugs.  In order to make sure you can continue to get all of your precription drugs a Medicare Prescription Drug Plan is a must.  These plans are known as Medicare Part D.  These are a great option to complement your Medicare Supplement plan or a stand alone if you just wish to stay with Original Medicare.
